A free 1-1.5-hour live online gathering exploring the old stories, folklore and seasonal traditions of England and the British Isles.
Let us join together for a 1-1.5 -hour live online exploration of Ostara and the Spring Equinox through the lens of ancestry, folklore and seasonal practice.
Together, we’ll explore the history and traditions surrounding this turning point of the year, connections to ancestral lands and lineage, spring folklore and symbolism, and our relationship with the changing seasons. The workshop will weave together teaching, storytelling, reflection, guided journeying and simple embodied practices to welcome the season of renewal and emergence.
For women longing to reconnect with ancestral lands, forgotten traditions and the ways those who came before us marked the turning of the seasons.
Do you ever wonder how the women before you welcomed Spring?
What did they notice as the earth began to wake? Which flowers appeared first? What stories were told? What was gathered, prepared or planted? Which customs marked the return of warmth and light?
There is a particular kind of longing that can come with living far from the lands our ancestors once called home. For many of us within a diaspora, pieces of tradition have become scattered across oceans and generations. We may carry ancestry from England, Ireland, Scotland or Wales, while knowing very little about the folklore, seasonal customs and spiritual worlds that once surrounded those who came before us.
Somewhere within that distance can live a desire to know. To learn the stories, understand the old traditions, know the lands they came from and bring meaningful seasonal practices into our homes again.

For the woman longing for tradition
This gathering is for women who feel drawn to the old stories, folklore and seasonal traditions of England. Perhaps your lineage connects you to these lands, yet you grew up knowing very little about the traditions, beliefs and ways of living that shaped the people who came before you.
Perhaps you live far from your ancestral homeland and feel a longing to begin understand it more deeply. To know the stories, recognise the changing seasons, learn what your ancestors may have celebrated and begin bringing meaningful traditions into your own home and life.
You may be at the very beginning of exploring your ancestry, or perhaps this longing has been with you for years. You do not need any previous knowledge of Ostara, Paganism or ancestral practice. Come with curiosity and a desire to learn.
